Damage caused by waste water running to sides because of faulty installation of Mosaics and drain

Damaged rotting base for Mosaics.

Cubicle was originally a wardrobe in the bedroom.as such it was an odd size for a shower tray. We inserted new joists and then boarded with Marine ply.

The constant leaking of water had caused damp patches in the bedroom.

We also made a cover for the outside drain as when the leaves stopped drainage it was backing up into the shower!!

Resited and replumbed drain. Fitted Hardibacker waterproof cement board . Glued with tile adhesive and screwed approx every 20cms so there is no movement.

Placed new tray in cubicle

Cemented tray in place and fitted waste.

Replaced broken tiles and tiled around the edge of the tray. Siliconed.

Finished Cubicle after CPM were called in to assess and refurbish. Gallery shows the damage we found on lifting Mosaic tiles.

We had to lift the shower glass door and raise it to shut over the new tray as before it was at the floor level.
